My fine art photography toys with the themes that haunt me as I work through my commercial pieces. I’m fascinated by desolation, loneliness, sadness, and having confidence in the face of those truths. I am also in love with the idea of identity: how easy it is to define, how transient it can be, or how unshakable it can be prescribed on each of us.
I seek to create images that hint at hope and the possibility for change; the transformative growth that can arise from a place of ugliness or despair; images that, at first glance, may be deemed unlovable, redundant or unnecessary. Within them all there are hints of hope; of possibility; of change.
